Today has seen confirmation that the TV streaming service from the BBC and ITV will be launched later this year. The cost will be similar to that of Netflix and Amazon Prime at £5.99 per month. But is it too little and too late? It is going to offer programmes which have previously been seen on either channel as well as new content so potentially offers some value. Except, for those people who already subscribing to another service it is additional cost, and those who don’t have maybe made a conscious decision not to have monthly subscriptions – maybe this will tempt them. Time will tell!
