Andy Sherratt
Andy is Principal of SPA Professional Academy and has many years teaching experience combined with business training and consultancy.
After gaining a marketing degree Andy worked for a variety of organisations, principally business to business, in marketing related roles before setting up his own training organisation (SPA Training Development) and then adding CIM qualifications through SPA Professional Academy. Andy started teaching CIM qualifications over 20 years ago and has worked with students and study centres internationally as well as in the UK.
Andy is a Chartered Marketer and an active member of CIM having previously been Chair of the Mid Yorkshire branch and Vice Chair of the Yorkshire regional board. In addition Andy has been a Senior Examiner for the CIM.
Ed Ryder
Ed is a Director at Biskit a creative marketing agency, a Chartered Marketer, past Chairman of the Mid-Yorkshire Chartered Institute of Marketing, Director of A View From The Hill CIC, Your Business Toolkit and BiskitImages.
Ed works with companies to help them use marketing more effectively and having worked in both sales and marketing really helps with his client and tutoring work, knowing how to make very practical suggestions.
Qualifications
Lisa Sherratt
Lisa is Marketing Manager and student support for SPA Professional Academy – usually the one you’ll find sending the emails and keeping you on track.
Lisa began studying CIM qualifications whilst working in charities as a fundraiser and marketer. She has worked for local and regional charities focusing on fundraising events marketing using both digital and broader marketing techniques to reach a variety of audiences.
Lisa also teaches the Digital Marketing modules for Level 3 and 4, supporting students in Distance learning and Face to Face workshops.
Heather Blackley
Heather is an independent marketing consultant, strategist and facilitator in the Isle of Man supporting our students on the Island.
Heather joined the Isle of Man Government’s Department of Economic Development in November 2010 with a very specific contracted brief acting as interim Head of Marketing: to improve the Isle of Man Government’s ability to compete on a global basis with key jurisdictions and locations across it’s key sectors.
As a tutor, Chartered Marketing Consultant and accredited consultant with the Department of Economic Development’s Business Support Scheme on the Isle of Man, Heather has worked on a wide variety of marketing projects across a number of industries including public and private sector as well as many larger and smaller profit and non-profit making organisations.
Projects have ranged from marketing budgets of many millions of pounds to zero budgets. Work has ranged from market feasibility studies, market research and marketing planning to communications programme planning and execution as well as staff sales and marketing training.
With around thirty years experience working within marketing in the pharmaceutical and professional services industries, and with a degree in Marketing and Modern Languages from Salford University and diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), she was awarded Fellowship status by the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2009.
