The Commercial Intelligence CIM Level 6 Diploma Elective module recognises how data underpins marketing excellence, equipping the marketer with the ability to interpret and apply data to support strategic commercial decisions in today’s competitive environments.

Through deeper understanding of key financial metrics to unlock insights, creating strategic budgets, optimising channel performance and delivering excellent return on investment this module provides the learner with the knowledge and skills required for success in their organisation – and marketing career development.

The ability to use and manage the range of resources required to deliver marketing objectives is a key learning outcome of the Commercial Intelligence module – skills that are needed for application in every organisation context.

Commercial Intelligence is an elective module from Group 1, for the Diploma or Extended Diploma qualification either this module or Societal Impact must be selected

This 10 credit elective module comprises three learning outcomes:

  1. Understand the metrics used to measure marketing performance
  2. Understand how to manage marketing resources to meet marketing objectives
  3. Understand how forecasting and financial techniques support the marketing budget

Assessment: Online Multiple Choice Test

The assessment for Commercial Intelligence is a 50 question, 90 minute onscreen multiple choice test
